Exhibit Graphic Design:On Time
Exhibit, National Musuem of American History, Smithsonian
Institution
As the graphics contractor, I was responsible
for the concept and design of both graphics and structure
of all text panels and labels in the exhibit. The contract
also required the creation of a specifications document that
could be used by staff to modify or update my original material.
I developed section logos/icons,
and a graduated color palette that were used for both the
graphics and structures in order to distinguish the five different
sections of the exhibit.
Additional contracts for this exhibit were for
an interactive flip book which displayed and explained a 1792
almanac (shown in bottom image); the layout and all graphics
for a self-guided touch screen presentation
of the exhibit; the layout and design of a temporary exhibit
featuring the Mickey Mouse watch; and a graphic panel mural
entitled "Wait a Minute."
